The arrival of new Italian gourmet flavours hit Galway today when the Olio &
Farina Italian franchise opened its new store at 50 Upper Abbeygate Street in
Galway. The new franchised store is owned and managed by Liam and Maria Payne
who both have a wealth of experience in the catering and hospitality industry.
To mark the occasion there was an official opening in the store, which provided
customers and guests a unique opportunity to sample the wide range of
traditional Italian products prepared in-store by gourmet Italian chef Paolo
Parisi. The new Olio & Farina store, located in the historic centre of
Galway, is designed for food lovers, especially lovers of Italian food and will
comprise of a shop and delicatessen where a wide range of Italian produce, from
olive oil, fresh meats and cheeses to wines and chocolates can be purchased.
The
shop will also include a cafe where customers can enjoy freshly cooked pasta,
panini, fresh meats and cheeses to consume on the premises or take-away. In
addition, the store will stock a selection of traditional Italian wines,
including many household names such as Montelpuciano, Brunello and Barolo.
Galway is Olio & Farinas second franchise operation in Ireland, after
Limerick which opened a year ago. A third retail franchise store is opening in
Dublin soon.
